I had the pleasure of riding the loop with the crew from Marion County a couple weeks ago. Michael said they’d ridden to the store before, but not any further. We left the truck early and made good time getting to the store. We grabbed a good lunch and hit the trail again.
The trail was good between the store and the truck but many areas towards the end were really grown up with weeds and such. Dry and dusty was the theme of the day and the trials tire hooked up like glue all day long. Just after the power line, we came upon a massive bull elk. Rudy and I got a good look at it as he walked through the trees raking his rack on the branches. Such a huge animal and to see one right here in the woods of Kentucky is really cool!
